Inspired by the pristine nature of Akiu in Miyagi Prefecture, Ohtaki Natural Farm aspires to enrich
human life with organically grown vegetables. Our farm is nestled inside Miyagi’s most serene location, surrounded by awe-inspiring nature, and is home to one of Japan’s most breathtaking waterfall – the Akiu Great Falls. The dear love for nature has inspired us to be a part of it instead of stealing away from it. Our efforts for the last 40-years towards utilizing natural and organic methods to produce vegetables has brought us fruition in all our products and lives. We aim to educate the community about the copious benefits of organic farming through our agricultural experience programs. Throughout the year, we host seasonal fun activities such as rice-harvesting experience, fun interactions at the farm restaurant, bento, pickle, and sake making at the “Sun Sun” Farm Factory. We aim to create a safe-haven for those with disabilities and healthy people alike, to come and work together without social discrimination and bias. To create an ecology where everyone can feel safe, nourished, and connected to the very nature surrounding us.
